       Mulkaraj Anad is the traditional Indians coppersmith’s son who is clever and uses his brain and talent. He was born in Peshawar in 1905 got education at Lahore, London and Cambridge and took doctorate in philosophy afterwards he dedicated his life two his writing one of early books was “carries and other Indian dishes “and another books were ‘The Hindu view Of Art” and “The Golden Breath”.
      
                        Untouchable is most compact and artificially satisfying. It is the shortest of the novel and the most revealing and rewarding of the lot for untouchable covers the events of a single day life of the low cast boy Bakha in the town of Bulashah.The 18 year old boy is one of the sons of Lakha – the Jmadar of the sweeper of the town. Bakha is a child of the 20 century and the impact of new influences causes stirrings within him. He wants to look the white forever but as the dawn, his work of latrine cleaning also begins.Anands describes bakha’s morning rounds of duties with  a painstaking. Bakha cleans three row of latrine single handed. His sister sohini also works for high class people. She gets water from the wall which was prohibited for the untouchable so to cure the water Kalinath priest decided to draw for the wall for the assembled out casts. The mean while he sees sohini and feels attracted to her youthfulness. Thus story gets climax point, issues are aroused .Bakha become furious and Lakha tries to peruse him.
                          In the afternoon Bakha attends the marriage function of his friends Ramacharan sisters.Ramcharan is washer man son .Chota is the leather worker son and Bakha forgets the law cast difference and creates problems. Bakha’s starts playing with high class boy. They play hockey sticks.Bakah makes goal and makes a little boy injured .Now reality comes out that he is a Harijan.
                        The problem of cast, ignorance and superstition, class difference, class division is presented in the story by Anand.
