John Donne's poem of " The Flea".

                                          The Flea
                                                       John Donne

The “Flea” by John Donne is an ideal example of metaphysical poetry written by John Donne .This poems deals with the theme of love but they images which the poet employs – The Flea “is taken from the field of biology the flea is a small insect which sunk blood from human body. This insect is used here as a theme for the expression of love.
The poem is addressed by the lover to his beloved and through this addressed the poet tries to request his lady love not to reject his proposal. The lover goes on proposing and every time it is rejected by the lady .The lover mention that both have become one in the form of that Flea .The Flea first sucked his blood then her blood and in this manner both of have become one .The lover tries to convince  her saying that whatever it denied by her his already happened in that Flea .The lover considered the mingling of their blood as their marriage , more than marriage but and also their temple such an a explanation of lover tempt her to kill that Flea but the lover requests her not to kill that Flea if she kills three life’s – Life’s of Flea, his life and her. It would be a big sin for her. The lovers know that she is awls willing to kill herself? He tries to make aware of the facts that self murder is a big sin.
The lady does not follows his request and kills that flea , making the color of nail purpealed. The lover admits that the Flea was guilty of his guilty blood only her portion was not guilty. The lady believes that she has not become weaker even man two bloods become one in that Flea .The lover once again requests her to accept this as an example that all her fears are false .The lover is of the opinion that if she accepts his love, it would bring owner to her falling in love his not a sin and a act of sin on the contrary it brings owner to a person.
The present poem can be considered and experiment made by John Donne because  a poet uses hardly a biological images to deals with the theme of love .The John Donne has do that in this poem and he remains successful.
